Lately, there was a little bit of controversy of bloggers stealing other blogger- which I think is perfectly okay as long as you give credit back. Nothing nowadays is 100% original and we, as bloggers, take inspiration from everything that surround us. So since I'm giving credit where credit is due… a while ago, I saved this look by Sincerely Jules on a folder I used for inspiration. Yesterday, looking back the folder…I saw it again and I had all the pieces, so no shame..I did it (while of course, giving it my own style twist). Also, did you see my initials monogrammed into the bag. I got a sweet email from Danielle Nicole, the bag designer saying how she saw me commenting on one of her pictures and she got it monogrammed for me. I honestly love her work and I was so excited. I wore this to run some errands…one was the most exciting: I found my wedding veil!!! Then we ate at my favorite restaurant..while we were eating Gabe just stared at me and laughed saying "Your shirt says Celfie, I thought it said Celine". I was like…ooookay, that was the point haha. Ultimamente ha habido un poco de controversia de bloggers copiando looks de otras bloggers…lo cual me parece extremadamente común. Hoy en día nada es 100% original (y especialmente nosotras agarramos inspiración de todos lados) pero me parece importante dar crédito. Hace muchísimo tiempo, guardé un look de Sincerely Jules…revisando mi carpeta de inspiración, lo volví a ver y me di cuenta que tenía piezas casi idénticas…así que decidí hacerlo pero por supuesto le di mi toque personal. Este outfit lo utilicé para hacer un par de diligencias…incluyendo buscar mi velo de novia, ¡que emoción! y después fuimos a comer ceviche en mi restaurante favorito (que tenía muchísimo tieso sin ir). ¿Pueden creer que horas después de tomar las fotos.. Gabo se me queda viendo y se ríe diciéndome que mi camisa dice "Celfie"? El juraba que decía CELINE y yo como que aja, ese es el punto jajaja. ¡Espero que tengan un bonito día! ¡Les mando abrazo gigante!

We haven't done a His&Hers post in a while; it always gets a little complicated with the trips and the timer. When venezuelan photographer, Eugenio Drake, emailed me to do a shoot since he was in town…I immediately thought of doing a fun his&hers. Everything was improvised…it rained (so my hair got wet and crazy), we took pictures at the PAMM museum and they kicked us out, we had fun playing with dogs on the park… it was a really fun day (and night) and I love the final result.

Tenía tiempo sin hacer un His&Hers porque siempre es un poquito complicado…tomamos las fotos con un trípode y timer. Cuando Eugenio Drake me escribió, ya que estaba de visita en Miami, se me ocurrió que en la sesión de fotos saliéramos tanto Gaby como yo. Fue 100% improvisada, nos llovió un poco, nos botaron del Museo de Arte, estuvimos jugando con perritos…pero la pasamos increíble y me gustó mucho el resultado final.

¡Yo soy super soñadora…lo admito! Creo que si no sigues tus sueños, nunca los vas a alcanzar- no se trata solo de tener metas, se trata de hacer que sucedan. Siempre me preguntan mucho sobre mis sueños y lo que quiero lograr… y ni se por donde empezar. En mi carrera, me gustaría algún día tener un libro de moda o un show de televisión de moda. A corto plazo, quiero viajar más.. y pronto quiero hacer una venta de "garaje" de bloggers y que todas las ganancias vayan a una fundación.

Pero la pregunta del día es… ¿cómo mantenerte inspirada todos los días ya que nadie logra sus sueños de la noche a la mañana?

Rodeate de gente positiva que no solo cra en ti sino también en tus sueños.
Compra un libro pequeño donde puedas escribir tus metas diarias, semanales, y anuales. No te olvides de escribir tus bendiciones o cosas por las que te sientas agradecida. Muchas veces estamos tan preocupadas por el futuro que nos olvidamos de vivir el momento y apreciar lo afortunadas que somos.

H&M has always been one of my favorite stores, especially when I want to find amazing deals but even more amazing pieces. I went there a couple of days ago and I absolutely loved the new collection "90s Super Tight vs Oversized"; this collection was inspired by the 90s but it still has a modern and high fashion vibe. The Collection was design in collaboration with George Cortina and all the pieces really make a fashion statement but they are still wearable and inspiring. My favorite piece was this dress, can you believe it was only $15!? The design on the neckline is amazing, but the silhouette is still comfortable but chic. This dress probably looks even better on someone taller, but I recently said to myself I wasn't going to stop wearing certain pieces because of my height (the best things in life come in small packages!!). I paired the dress with some simple black booties and a snake-print bag PLUS I added a milkmaid braid to stop wearing hats haha. Hope you are having a fantastic day! XOXO

H&M siempre ha sido de mis tiendas favoritas, especialmente cuando se trata de encontrar piezas económicas y de última moda. Apenas entré, me fascinó este vestido de la última colección….el diseño de las tiritas y la transparencia lo hace único- aparte el corte es comodísimo y fresco (pero fácilmente se le pueden agregar más capas para los meses más fríos). ¿Pueden creer que el vestido cuesta solo $15!!? Se que probablemente el vestido le quedaría mejor a alguien un poco más alta, pero me gusta el estilo midi- y me dije a mi misma que no voy a limitarme usar esto o aquello por ser pequeña (¡¡lo mejor siempre viene en frasco chiquito!!). Me fui por un look 100% cómodo con unas botitas, unas trenzas, y una cartera pequeña con estampado de culebra. ¡Les deseo un feliz fin de semana!!

I wore this last week to go to Premios Tu Mundo rehearsals. Besides getting to see some performances before the day of the show, we also got our hair and makeup done…nothing like getting a little pampered. I wore this floral shorts (which you have already seen them with a matching top, so it looked like a romper), my favorite black crop top, and a white dressy vest. Este look lo utilicé para ir a los ensayos de los Premios Tu Mundo junto a un grupo espectacular de bloggers. Nos consintieron maquillándonos y peinándonos (por eso siento que tengo más maquillaje de lo normal!). Quise utilizar estos shorts (que ya los habían visto con una camisa del mismo estámpado y por eso parecía un romper), mi crop top negro que uso con todo, y un chaleco blanco. ¿Qué look es tu favorito?

I wore this look more than a month ago; while we were at the pool, we took them for a short campaign on Instagram (@nanysklozet in case you are not following!!). I wasn't sure if I should publish them here but here they are (due lack of content). I have not been feeling well lately…I feel tired and overwhelmed for many reasons: the wedding, grad school, tons of blog projects..and well, I have been posting for about two years (we all need a break). But no more slacking, I don't want to slow down… I love my blog, it is my little baby!

I know this look is like #waytoomanytrends… turbans, gladiators, lace, sheer, metallic, floral print… but we all need a little glam and over-the-top looks, even if it's just at the pool. This dress is very versatile because it can be worn as a cover-up …or with a slit underneath for a night out. Hope you are feeling a little better than me lol! XOXO

Este look lo utilicé hace más de un mes y no estaba segura si publicarlo…algunas de estas fotos las vieron por Instagram (¡@Nanysklozet por si no me siguen!). No he estado tan constante con el blog porque he estado muy ocupada y cansada…esto de la boda MAS el postgrado MAS cientos de proyectitos que tengo al mismo tiempo me tienen a millón. Pero de verdad no quiero abandonarlas más, me tengo que organizar mejor y así poder mostrarles mas y mejor contenido.

I love wearing maxi dresses… even though I don't think I wear them that often because it's hard to find some that fit my petite height. I think the maxis are comfortable, light (perfect for Miami weather) and extremely versatile. This one can be worn to a date night by the beach with some embellished sandals…or add some fancy accessories and you can wear it to a wedding.

This zebra print maxi dress is part of the latest H&M capsule collection called "By Night"; this exclusive party collection features trendy pieces like body-con dresses, jumpsuits, bustiers, crop tops, and lace…all with a little extra perfect for special occasions. This time, I wore the dress with some sky-high heels and a tiny little clutch. I put my hair in a low bun to show off the detail on the back and I added a tiny bit of color with purple lipstick!

¡A mi me encantan los vestidos largos! Siento que nos los uso tan seguido como me gustaría…los vestidos largos son cómodos, frescos (perfectos para Miami) y extremadamente versátiles. Hey girls! I'm in New York for Fashion Week…which is SO SO exciting! I was really hoping the weather to be a little chilly…but it's as hot as Miami right now. However, I wore this to the airport to travel to NYC (it's always so cold at the airport, plus the beanie helps with my bedhead)…and this comfy outfit works perfectly if you live in a city where the weather is actually fall-ish right now.

I'm also very happy to be collaborating with Chictopia and JCPenney on this post. As soon as I walked in at JCPenney, I was instantly drawn to these plaid leggings from Arizona…I think they are so much fun and I have a feeling I'm going to be wearing them a lot. I paired it with a sporty sweater (also from Arizona), a cute beanie, and some chunky boots. I really like dressing a little edgy..or actually playing with my style in general. Dressing up every morning should be about expressing yourself…and being ridiculously yourself! <3 XOXO

¡Hola chicas! Les escribo desde Nueva York…llegué hoy por la Semana de la Moda y estoy muy muy contenta! Honestamente pensé que el clima iba a estar un poco más fresco…está haciendo casi tanto calor como en Miami. Pero eso no me freno y utilicé este look para viajar (siempre me muero de frío en el avión, y este look es cómodísimo)….también quiero mostrarles un poquito más de variedad porque se que en muchas ciudades se está poniendo frío.

Maybe you saw it on Instagram…but here it is: my first NYFW look. I got to NYC around noon (exhausted from an early early flight), I ran t the hotel to shower, change, and head to the tents. I know I have been wearing a lot of black-and-white lately…but I guess we all go to little stages and I like it (even though today I wore the brightest pink dress ever!). This sweater is actually a sample from Melao's Spring 2015 collection, so you are getting a preview of how amazing that collection is. I paired the mesh top with a leather skirt and some gold accents. I'll share more pics of that day but quick summary; I went to Desigual, to Marissa Webb's backstage and show, an Old Navy party, and to dinner with some fab blogger friends! Aunque tal vez ya lo vieron por Instagram…aquí les muestro mi primero look. Ese día llegue a Nueva York en el primer vuelo en la mañana, corrí al hotel a cambiarme y luego ir a los shows. Se que ando en una onda un poco blanco-y-negro, pero todas pasamos por etapas…y supongo que esa es la misma en estos momentos (aunque hoy usé el vestido rosado más llamativo del mundo!). Este suétercito es de la nueva colección de Melao, que todavía falta mucho para que salga…así que aquí tienen un mini adelanto de lo increíble que está. Combiné el top con una falda de cuero y unas sandalias bastante llamativas….de resto solo agregué toques dorados. ¡Pronto les cuento que hice el primer día…pero en resúmen: fui al show de Desigual, detrás de bastidores y a la pasarela de Marissa Webb, luego a un evento de Old Navy, y terminé mi día cenando con un grupo de bloggers! I swear the weather New York has been hotter than I expected…even worse than Miami. I've had to modify my looks a little because I was excepted about adding an extra layer but well…things happen. I wore this during the second day at NYFW; I wore it to Monique Lhuiller's show..which was a DREAM- all the dresses were spectacular. After that, we headed to a French Connection preview party…where I got to see some blogger friends from Miami :) I know I have been wearing a lot of B&W, so I went for the brightest dress ever.. a pink dress from Style Mafia. I paired it with blue heels and a statement necklace. The heels are the ones to blame for the fact I cannot move today…I spent too much time with them on and my poor feet are killing me right now…but, these are the things we do for fashion! En Nueva York ha estado haciendo más calor de lo que pensaba…creo que hasta igual que Miami. He tenido que modificar un poquito los looks que quería usar para no derretirme en el camino. Este look lo utilicé durante el segundo día de la Semana de la Moda; lo utilicé para ir al show de Monique Lhuillier…el cual fue un SUENO- cada vestido era más espectacular que el anterior. De ahí fui a una fiesta de French Connection, donde vi a mis amigas bloggers de Miami . Ultimamente he estado utilizando mucho blanco y negro; así que quise salir de la rutina con un vestido extremadamente llamativo de color rosado y unas sandalias azules. Admito que ahora por culpa de las sandalias, estoy que no me puedo ni mover…no es que sean muy incómodas, pero estuve demasiado tiempo de pie y caminando- pero para ser bella, hay que ver estrellas ¿no? ¡Les mando un abrazo inmenso!!

I wore this look while shooting with Chictopia and Ariat during New York Fashion Week a couple of days ago. We ended up shooting in Central Park, perfect location for my bohemian outfit. We did a fun video…all winners and 2 other bloggers are going to be part of it- can't wait to see the final result and show it to all of you. There's something about fringe and lace…they were just made for each other, PLUS the paisley dress was the perfect final touch.

Este look lo utilicé mientras grababa un video cheverísimo junto Chictopia y Ariat en la Semana de la Moda. El video lo grabamos el viernes y terminamos grabando en Central Park porque la idea era ir a sitios típicos de Nueva York. Central Park fue perfecto porque iba con la onda bohemia de mi look. Las otras bloggers que fueron jueces del concurso y las ganadoras, son partes del video… ya quiero ver el video, y como todas utilizaron sus botas Ariat. Considero que los flecos y el encaje son dos texturas que fueron hechas una para la otra, y mi vestido de bacterias le dió el toque final al look.

¡Hola!! Hoy les traigo otro de mis looks de la Semana de la Moda en Nueva York; este look es del tercer día ( es decir, del sábado). Originalmente iba a utilizer este lok con unos pantalones, pero ese día el calor no era normal…según mucha gente en Nueva York fue uno de los días más calientes de este verano- y esoo que ya supuestamente estamos en otoño. Desde hace un tiempito, le tenía el ojo puesto a este chaleco de Style Mafia; y me pareció perfecto para usar esta semana. Los combiné con unos shorts deportivos, una camisa básica negra, y un collar extra plateado. La mala idea de este look fue usar estos zapatos, me encanta el toque que le dan al outfit…pero al final de día quería llorar del dolor de pies. Estando en Lincoln Center (donde se hacen los shows), pasé por la estación de TRESemmé donde me hicieron este peinado…me parece que le dió el toque rockero que necesitaba el look. Después de un par de shows, estuve en la fiesta de Reward Style y eso fue todo…tuve que regresar al hotel a hacer cosas de la universidad (si, ¿pueden creerlo!?)

Hey everyone! Here’s another of my outfits during New York Fashion Week; I wore this look on the third day (which means, Saturday). I originally wanted to wear this look with pants…but that day was unexpectedly HOT. Many people from NYC told me that it was one of the hottest days in a while- even though Fall is already supposed to be here. When putting this look together, my main focus was this cool vest from Style Mafia…it was a sheer panel that makes it a statement piece. I paired it with some sporty shorts that have a cool faux quilted detail, a basic black top and a chunky necklace. The bad idea: the heels… I think they are the sexiest heels I own; but by the end of the night…I just wanted to cry. While I was at the tents at Lincoln Center, I stopped by the TRESemmé station where they did this cool updo…it was the final touch to truly feel like a rockstar.

This Sunday, I has the amazing opportunity to attend Nanette Lepore’s Spring 2015 show and I also got to go backstage with Chictopia and JCPenney.

Reason why I wanted to share some of my favorite looks from the runway. There were so many amazing looks that I don’t even know where to begin. This Spring Collection was inspired by past vacations in California and the South of France. There is a great mix of light yellow, tranquil blue, and blush pink. I really loved the laid back vibe with the loose bun and the comfy flatforms.

While being backstage, I found out that the daughter of the designer, Violet Savage, was also walking the runway (she is just 16 years old!!). It was her first time walking as a model after years and years walking with her mom at the end of each show.

But that’s not it, Violet daughter is the inspiration for Nanette Lepore’s affordable line at JCPenney called L’Amour Nanette Lepore. I can’t wait to wear one of my favorite pieces but first I want to share some amazing pieces from the line… can you believe everything on the site is under $30?

El domingo tuve la increíble oportunidad de ver el show de Nanette Lepore y estar detrás de bastidores gracias a Chictopia y a JCPenney.

Por esta razón quería compartir con ustedes algunos de mis looks favoritos de esta pasarela. Algunas de las tendencias importantes en esta pasarelas fueron:

Estando detrás de bastidores me enteré que la hija de la diseñadora, Violet Savage, iba a modelar durante el show- era su primera vez modelando sola ya que desde muy pequeña caminaba el final de la pasarela con su mama, la diseñadora.

Pero eso no es todo, Violet es justamente la inspiración de la colección más economica de Nanette Lepore llamada L’Amour Nanette Lepore en JCPenney. Pronto me van a ver usando una de estas piezas pero primero quería mostrarles algunas de mis piezas favoritas de esta colección… revisando la página, me di cuenta que no hay nada que pase los $30

For the fourth day at Fashion Week, I wore this fab dress from STYLE MAFIA ; it's so unique with the mesh, the neoprene, and the flare shape! Since the dress can look very feminine, I paired with some cage heels and a classic flap bag. Also, I was inspired by the models down the runway…I saw so many shows featuring girls with sleek straight hair. So I did why I rarely do, straighten it fully. I wore this to a party with Nylon Magazine and Socialyte. I hope you are having a fantastic week and I hope you are not tired of the #NYFW looks yet haha! XOXO

Para el cuarto día de la Semana de la Moda, quise utilizar este vestido blanco de STYLE MAFIA ; me encantó porque no solo es bello sino único por sus transparencias. Como es un vestido tan femenino, lo combiné con unos tacones de tiritas y una cartera clásica. En muchas de las pasarelas, las modelos llevaban el cabello extremadamente liso; esto me inspiró a plancharmelo totalmente (cosa que casi nunca hago). Esto lo utilicé para ir a una fiesta de la revista Nylon junto a Socialyte y Fashion Indie…la pasé cheverísimo y conocí a varias bloggers que seguía. ¡Les mando un abrazo! Here's another of my looks from NYFW… we are almost there, hold on! This time I paired this shorts from STYLE MAFIA with a crop top and a vest; these shorts are part of a two-piece set but that day I was not feeling too matchy matchy. I borrrowed the white vest from Naty from A Love Affair with Fashion- whom I was roommates with in NYC. We went to the Tommy Hilfiger show and then to Angel Sanchez. You have no idea how spectacular the setting was at Tommy…and yes, I saw Kendall Jenner modeling and the top bloggers ( I also saw Anna Wintour across the room). After that we ran back to the Lincoln Center to see Angel Sanchez…I was so excited when I realized I was sitting right back three Miss Universe from Venezuela…all so beautiful of course . Aquí les traigo otro de mis looks en la Semana de la Moda…ya casi estamos llegando al último día. En esta ocasión quise utilizar estos shorts de STYLE MAFIA; que son parte de un set de dos piezas…pero ese día quise combinarlo con un crop top y un chaleco blanco (que por cierto, era de Naty y se lo pedí prestado). Ese día fui al show de Tommy Hilfiger y luego a Angel Sanchez. El escenario de Tommy fue un espectáculo…y si, vi a Kendall Jenner modelando y estaban todas las mega bloggers (y hasta vi a Anna Wintour del otro lado de la pasarela). Después de eso corrimos a Angel Sanchez, justo estaba sentada detrás de las 3 Miss Universo venezolanas …todas espectaculares, por supuesto. ¡Les mando un abrazo grandísimo!

¡Hola a todas! Como ya les he contado, estoy haciendo un psotgrado en "Gerencia de Diseño". Como parte de mi proyecto fnal/esis, estoy (hipotéticamente) haciendo un show de televisión de moda para Latinas. When I was a tween, my first handbag ever was a Kipling bag…I still remember: it was a small navy crossbody bag. I have always been a fan of the brand because of its quality; I still have Kipling luggage from 13 years ago and I’ve only had to replace the zipper.

Cuando tenía como 11-12 años, mi primera cartera fue una de Kipling..me acuerdo clarito, era un bolsito chiquito color azul marino. Siempre me ha encantado la marca, especialmente por su calidad. Todas mis maletas son de Kipling…y tengo un set de hace 13 años al que solo tuve que cambiarle el cierre.

En estos momentos, me encanta su nueva colección llamada "The Always on"; una línea contemporánea para las mujeres que no nos detiene nada. Estas nuevas carteras son más chic y mezclan materiales como raffia y cuero sintético con el material clásico de Kipling. Esta que llevo me encanta…el color es perfecto para otoño! En esta ocasión, combiné la cartera con unos pantalones de cuero, un crop top simple negro y un cardigan gris.

I wore this on my last day in New York City for Fashion Week. My day started very early with the fab TRESemmé stylist, Marco Peña. I asked them for something different…I think I have never worn my hair this sleek and straight. He really took his time making it perfect; PLUS to give the classic low ponytail a twist, he added a little bit of structured. He called it the Samurai ponytail…and I loved how it looked with this ladylike and classy outfit. After that, I took pics with Nicolas Stipcianos (thank you Nico!); Gaby didn't go with me to Fashion Week so I hated asking people for pictures. After that we headed to a TRESemmé brunch and then I ran to two shows that were on different sides of Manhattan. I went to Delpozo and Betsey Johnson. Later, I went back to the hotel to finish packing, to change into a comfy outfit and head back to Miami in the latest flight. I hope you all liked the NYFW looks, I had a lot of fun here and I tried different styles! XOXO

Este look lo utilicé para mi último día en Nueva York. Mi día empezó tempranito junto a Marco Peña, estilista de TRESemmé. A mi me gusta peinarme; por eso cuando estoy con estilistas, les pido peinados totalmente distintos y que yo no pueda hacer. Casi nunca llevo el cabello liso, y menos en una cola baja…pero me encantó como se ve con este look clásico. Para darle un toque más moderno a la cola de caballo, Marco le dió un poco de estructura y la llamo "cola de caballo samurai". De ahí, tomamos esta foto junto al fabuloso fotógrafo Nicolas Stipcianos (gracias por las fotos Nico!) y seguimos a un brunch de TRESemmé. Después de eso corrí a dos shows: Delpozo y Betsey Johnson- que por cierto, estaban lejísimos uno del otro y me toco correr para luego regresar al hotel y hacer mis maletas. Me cambié y me fui al aeropuerto para agarrar el último vuelo y regresar a la normalidad en Miami. ¡Espero que les hayan gustado mis looks de Nueva York! BESOS.
