People ask me frequently: “Where do you find inspiration?”
My answer has always been: EVERYWHERE! You can find fashion and beauty inspiration wherever you look; it doesn’t matter if it’s in a magazine, on a blog, on the big screen, in a museum, a gorgeous room, or even a car.
So I was VERY excited when The Lincoln Motor Company asked me to be part of this fantastic project. Lincoln Black Label is redefining what it means to own a luxury automobile. I was asked to visit their new Miami home which was designed with four different themes in mind that were created for their luxurious Black Label Cars. This ocean-view house was spectacular; with 4 bedrooms, an infinity pool looking at the ocean, and an in-home theater…this house quickly became my dream home. Every corner of the house was inspiring, and choosing my favorite theme was nearly impossible. The themes are Center Stage, Modern Heritage, Indulgence, and Oasis. Each theme drew inspiration from different sources- from fashion and food, to travel and architecture, in order to create a personal experience. All four interior themes showcase some of the finest materials like Venetian leather, which you can find inside the cars on seating, armrests, and doors.

Mi respuesta siempre es: ¡¡EN TODOS LADOS!! Considero que puedes encontrar inspiración de moda y belleza donde sea que mires; puede ser en en una revista, un blog, en la televisión, en un museo, la arquitectura de una ciudad,¡ y hasta un carro!
Me emocioné muchísimo cuando Lincoln Motor Company me pidió para ser parte de este proyecto divertidísimo. Todo el concepto detrás de
Lincoln Black Label es re-definir lo que significa tener un carro lujoso. Me invitaron a su nueva casa en Miami donde todas las habitación están inspiradas en 4 temas que fueron originalmente creadas para la linea de carros Black Label. La casa con vista al mar es un espectáculo; tiene 4 cuartos, una piscina infinita, un cuarto para ver películas… apenas entré empecé a agarrar datos para redorar mi casa. Cada esquina de la casa me inspiró muchísimo…y honestamente no pude escoger mi tema favorita (todos tienen algo especial). Los 4 temas son :
Center Stage, Modern Heritage, Indulgence, and Oasis. Cada tema tenía una vibra totalmente distinta y la idea es que cada persona se identifique con uno. Lo más impresionante fue ver la creatividad de como utilizaron materiales del carro- como el cuero de Venecia - en los cuartos.
La diseñadora de Lincoln nos contó que "la meta es darle al cliente una experiencia sensorial mediante la creación de los diferentes temas y sus respectivos cuartos lujosos"
Center Stage
Center Stage was inspired by DRAMA. The elements from this theme pull from theater (think of a dark theater with the iconic red velvet curtains rising on opening night) and the elegant fashion world. People drawn to this theme are expressive and they are not afraid to take risks. At the house, one of the most interesting rooms was a dreamy in-home theater with a red couch.
I was really inspired by the sophisticated all-black with intense pops of red (also seen in the bedroom and in the living room). For Center Stage, I went for a pair of burgundy velvet shorts, a powerful blazer, and some statement earrings.

Center Stage
La inspiración detrás de este tema es el DRAMA. Todos los elementos en Center Stage vienen del teatro (¡imagina un oscuro teatro con la cortina roja de terciopelo!!) y la elegancia de la industria de la moda. Generalmente la gente a la que le gusta este tema son arriesgadaas y les encanta ser el centro de atención. En la casa, a mi me llamó mucho la atención la habitación con un mini-teatro. Yo me la pasaría ahí viendo películas y series de TV. Inspirada en este tema, opté por un look mayormente negro pero con el toque elegante del terciopelo. Utilicé unos shorts de terciopelo rojo con una camisa y blazer negro, y unos aretes vintage muy llamativos.
Modern Heritage
Modern Heritage is a fresh take on the classic black & white. The Modern Heritage cars feature Jet Black doors panels with contrasting white Venetian leather accentuated with the exclusive diamond L-perforation pattern, and subtle red accents. I love all white bedrooms- making this room my dream room. This theme inspired me to wear a pair of white jeans and structured white sandals, with a comfy gray sweater, and a red handbag for that perfect color accent.

Modern Heritage
Este tema es la versión moderna del clásico blancoYnegro. Los carros de Modern Heritage tienen las puertas negras y los asientos de cuero Veneciano en blanco ( se ve espectacular, aunque yo me la pasara preocupada por no ensuaciarlos). A mi me fascinan los cuartos blancos; pero este tenía unos toques grises y rojos que los hacían modernos. Inspirada en este tema, utilicé unos jeans blancos con un suéter cómodo color gris, unas sandalias de tiritas blancas, y el toque rojo vibrante en la cartera.
Indulgence
Indulgence was inspired by the allure of luxurious chocolate. Throughout the theme, you can find truffle colored leather, neutrals, and camels. The rooms were infused with richness and texture; especially the master bedroom. The mix of soft leather and Ziricote wood inspired me to mix textures in warm brown tones.

Indulgence
Cuando se trata de Indulgence, todo era chocolate, chocolate y más chocolate. En todos los cuartos inspirados en este tema podías ver muchos colores neutrales, cafés, y beiges. Las habitaciones tenían también mucha mezcla de texturas, especialmente en el cuarto principal de la casa. La mezcla de cuero y madera Ziricote me inspiró a mezclar texturas en tonos chocolate.
Oasis
Oasis was inspired by the warmth and serenity of a spa, like you are surrounded by sun and sand. This theme creates a peaceful environment in earth tones and neutral colors. People drawn to Oasis generally want to escape to a serene and peaceful world. This theme made me dream of sandy adventures; reason why I went for a neutral fedora and a light white sweater.

Oasis
Este tema fue creado inspirado en la calidez tranquilidad de un spa en el medio de un desierto, ¡¡como si estuvieses rodeada de sol t arena!!. De Oasis me encantó su ambiente pacífico en tonos tierra y neutrales. Generalmente, si Oasis es tu favorito, eso significa que te encanta viajar y visitar lugares serenos y tranquilos. Este tema me hizo querer ir a una aventura en el desierto…y esto es lo que utilizaría: un sombrero beige de fieltro con un sueter y short blanco.
