And here I am....writing from New York City in a small room and reay to start my internship on Monday. However, post-wise...we are still in Miami. On March 20th, I had the opportunity to go to Carlos Miele's fashion show during Miami Fashion Week. Sadly it was the only show I was able to go: I was running around with final projects, final exams, Gaby's birthday, and getting everything ready for my trip. I attended Miami Fashion Week last year and I was impressed by how much it improved- we are still not at the same level of the big fashion capitals...but we'll get there, you'll see. That week, designers from all over the world (25 countries, but most of the designers are from Brazil) get together in Miami to show their latest collections. I really enjoyed Carlos Miele's show- he also got an award as "International Designer of the Year". There were so many amazing pieces I'd like to own- for example: that gorgeous blue jumpsuit, the embellished gold jackets, and that pink dress! ¡¡¡Ya les escribo desde Nueva York!!! Ya estoy instalada en mi cuartito con todo listo para empezar la pasantía el lunes. Pero hoy les cuento de la pasarela del show de Carlos Miele durante la Semana Internacional de la Moda en Miami. Lamentablemente fue el único show al que pude ir; estaba en examenes finales, fue el cumple de Gaby, y arreglando todos los preparativos para el viaje a NYC. Personalmente considero que este año mejoró el show en general- todavía no se compara con las grandes capitales de la moda pero poco a poco. En esta semana, diseñadores de todas partes del mundo (especialmente de Brasil) muestran sus colecciones. A mi me encanto la colección de Carlos Miele, quien fue premiado como "Diseñador Internacional del Año"- hay muchísimas piezas que me fascinaron como por ejemplo: el jumpsuit azul, el movimiento del vestido largo rosado, y las chaquetas con detalles dorados.
