I have to admit that my second week in NYC was better than the first one (and the third one even better because I'm in Miami for the weekend); I was given more responsabilities in the internship and I stopped feeling sorry for myself and went out every day. I work from Mondays to Wednesdays (full day, from 9AM to 8PM). Last wednesday I met Nadia from NAC Styles; we went to a shoe/fashion exhibit and then had peruvian food; on Thursday, I met with a PR company for blogging business. Then on Friday, when I was wearing this outfit, I met with Naty from A Love Affair With Fashion- we had a late brunch, took pics, and talked until it was dark outside...she's a sweetheart! We didn't plan it but we both were wearing printed bottoms and a white jacket...great minds do think alike! Finally on Sunday, I went to the Venezuelan embassy because of the presidential elections. I try not to talk politics in here because I want this little blog to be a place where you can just forget for a second whatever is going on- but I do encourage my non-venezuelan readers to read about what's going on in Venezuela...it breaks my heart and the world needs to know about it. Tengo que admitir que mi segunda semana en Nueva York fue mejor que la primera (y la tercera un poco mejor especialmente porque vine a Miami de visita por el fin de semana); me han dado más responsabilidades en la pasantía y estuve saliendo todos los días. Trabajé de lunes a miércoles; el jueves conocí a Nadia de NAC Styles, fuimos a comer y a una exhibición de moda; el viernes me reuní con una compañia de relaciones públicas para ir comer y hablar un poquito de negocios. Luego el sábado, que es cuando utilicé este outfit, conocí a Naty de A Love Affair With Fashion- fuimos a "brunch", y nos dio la noche de tanto hablar, hablar y hablar...es un amor de persona. De casualidad estabamos vestidas similares: ambas con pantalones con estampado y una chaquta blanca. Finalmente el domingo, día de elecciones presidenciales en Venezuela, fui al consulado a votar, y terminamos comiendo arepas de pabellón...más venezolana imposible! Se que algunas venezolanas han estado esperando algún tipo de opinión política de mi parte- pero llevo años intentando que mis blogs de moda fuese un lugar donde pudiesen despejarse de lo que sea que les estuviese pasando. Esto no significa que no vea las noticias y que no me duela todo lo que esta pasando en mi país. Un abrazo inmenso!!! FELIZ FIN DE SEMANA!
